Community Action Corporation of South Texas Offers COVID-19 Diagnostic Testing to Health Center Patients
Community Action Corporation of South Texas (CACOST) makes healthcare affordable and accessible for all individuals and families through nine Federally Qualified Health Center facilities. Our health centers provide family practice, pediatric, women's health, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health services. Extended hours and after-hours coverage are available to ensure services are provided beyond the traditional work schedule. CACOST has specifically trained staff to help guide individuals and families in applying for eligible healthcare programs.

If you are in need of assistance to pay for health services, apply for assistance by downloading the enrollment application and email your completed application with the required documents to enrollment@cacost.org or drop it off at one of our health center locations. You may also pick up a copy of the application at any of our health center locations if you are unable to download it. The Community Action Corporation of South Texas (CACOST) operates a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) program in South Texas, ranked nationally in the top 10% of all FQHC’s for its integrated approach to primary care, behavioral health, and social services, ensuring holistic care for underserved rural communities.
By offering a sliding fee scale, extended hours, and community-driven governance, CACOST addresses health disparities in a region with high poverty and limited healthcare access, aligning with national FQHC goals of improving outcomes through accessibility and preventive care.

Pharmacy
CACOST provides Pharmacy services at the Alice health clinic. Uninsured and underinsured patients enrolled with the health center may qualify for purchasing prescription medications at a significant discount.
