Created as part of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program is designed to reduce poverty, revitalize low-income communities, and empower low-income families to become self-sufficient.
Serving as the heart of our Agency, CACOST’s CSBG Program helps low-income families meet their basic needs to ensure they are able to focus on achieving their educational and employment goals. Once a family completes an assessment and goals are established, CSBG case managers link families to child care, health care, education and employment opportunities through direct service assistance and referrals to our own agency programs and 70+ partnerships.
Applicants must meet a poverty level of 125% or less to be eligible for services.
