Homeowner Assistance Fund
The Texas Housing Assistance Fund provides emergency funds to help eligible Texas homeowners affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Grants awarded to eligible homeowners can assist with past and up to three months of future mortgage and/or utility payments. You may be eligible to receive up to $65,000 in grants. Contact our staff so that they may assist you with your application.
The program is administered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) with funding provided by the Homeowner Assistance Fund under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

Application Requirements
All applicants must submit all necessary documents (shown below) with their application. To see if you may qualify, click the button to visit TexasHomeownerAssistance.com. Contact the CACOST staff member serving your area if you have questions or to get assistance with your application.
Housing Documents
All of the following documents are required:
- property tax
- mortgage statement
- current utility bill
Identification of all members (18 or older) in the household
Acceptable Documents may include:
- State of Texas Issued Driver License or Photo ID
- Birth Certificate or U.S. Passport
- Social Security Card
Proof of all income for the past 30 days prior to the date of application.
(Must include all household members 18 years of age or older)
