Grants Awarded:

 Coastal Bend Community Foundation

The Coastal Bend Community Foundation awarded CACOST an annual grant of $7,500. Funds granted on behalf of the Coastal Bend Community Foundation are used to provide a daily meal to homebound seniors in Jim Wells & San Patricio Counties during the program year, 2013-2014.

The Coastal Bend Community Foundation was incorporated in 1981 with the mission of enhancing and improving the quality of life in the seven counties of the Coastal Bend.  The Foundation serves donors by providing a vehicle for the establishment of various types of charitable funds designed to fulfill their wishes. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $70 million in scholarships to students and grants to nonprofit organizations.

Wal-Mart Foundation

For a second straight year, the Wal-Mart Foundation has awarded CACOST funds to continue providing meals to homebound seniors in Bee, Brooks, Jim Wells & San Patricio Counties. This year the award was in the amount of $50,000.

We continue to seek additional funding opportunities, as the need for home delivered meals grows.
