Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)

What does the program do?
Assist low-income households particularly those with lowest incomes that pay a high portion of household income for home energy.

Who benefits from the program?
The program encourages priority be given to those with the highest home energy needs, meaning low income household with a
high energy burden, primarily the elderly, persons with disabilities, and families with children under the age of 6.

What areas/counties are covered by this program?
Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Jim Wells,San Patricio, and Willacy counties.

When does a person qualify for the program?
Applicants must apply and meet the federal poverty level of 150% of less to be eligible for services.

How does an individual enroll in the program?
Call for an application or visit our Offices.

Additional information about the program:
CEAP services include: Energy-related needs assessment and referrals, budget counseling, and energy conservation education.
